Little wolf men it's up the ladder the way a snake coils whistles its tongue at all you young boys trying to get on top of anything if anything it's a situation for all you rock stars rock stars You were kneeling on your knees peeing in the streets you even lit cigarettes cos you thought you were dying you thought you were dying when you tried to hail a cab at some impossible junction you found out everything's so organized that you can barely function i just thought about that... Little wolf men it's up the ladder the way a snake coils whistles its tongue at all you young boys trying to get on top of anything if anything it's a situation for all you rock stars rock stars have you thought about that?

I can't play this game for you.  Your vowels are all gone and Scrabble's left only consonants for you.  I can't say if it's right or if it's the wrong thing to do. Are you calling from a pay phone this time?  The lines aren't clear. Is everything okay on your side?   No one needs to know.  No one needs to know right now.  Take a deep breath in don't let em break you down.  No one needs to know.  No one needs to know right now.  Take a deep breath in don't let em break you down.   Who has the say on how the way things should be?  Who will take you home when the lights go on and your glass is empty?  Who will hold your breath when you're diving off the deep end?   Are you calling from a pay phone this time?  The lines aren't clear. Is everything okay on your side?   No one needs to know.  No one needs to know right now.  Take a deep breath in don't let em break you down.  No one needs to know.  No one needs to know right now.  Take a deep breath in don't let em break you down.   No one needs to know.  No one needs to know right now.  Take a deep breath in don't let em break you down.  No one needs to know.  No one needs to know right now.  Take a deep breath in don't let em break you down.   Don't let em break you down.  Don't let em break you down.

All the coniferous trees. They bend in the wind If I could I’d run around and put it all together again All the deciduous trees, they’re blowing in the wind. Why would you ever grow leaves, just to watch them fall off again? All that was discouraging me I did not know when it begin I would drive in to town each day but not do a thing. But I did not complain, And I will not today Cause I got my little hurricane I did not know what to believe. I did not know where to begin I went outside, But I just did…..not much of anything But I did not complain, and I will not today, Cause I got my little hurricane But I will not complain Oh no not today… And all the people I’d see Blowing in the wind They’d never wanna stand up I did not know what to believe And I did not know when to begin I would drive into town, But never really do a thing Cause they’ll just sit right back down again Why would you ever grow leaves, Just to watch them fall off again.

I’m at a loss for words but not determination • I’ve got a plan and spirit, and sense of direction • When you are finished fighting with yourself notice we have reached a tie, two for two • The cards we dealt are waiting for our next move • What we must do might not be what follows through, but I’m guilty of falling through • Changing the calendar to the month that triggers shivers • On that long dark road through all the foggy blizzards • Imagining you to be impatiently longing for me • What we must do might not be what follows through, but I’m guilty of envying our memory • Digging deep to revive the feeling • You aren’t helping by fucking around with your living

I’ll trace your goodbyes Let me down in your salt I’ll sing the sorrows I took from your heart I know that you’re broken Your face is worn Green eyes and crows feet Shall they never part Where are my children now Where are my lovers found They walk on water Swallow their dreams The doors in the freezer And glass in this steak Half finished cigarettes Line bedside plates It’s often a gamble When pockets are deep And quarterly returns Are when families meet Where are my children now Where are my lovers found They walk on water and swallow their dreams They walk on water and forfeit their needs

you know that guy in the town who plays those songs it seems like he don’t do much at all just hangin around every town so familiar just like those hounds who’ll drag you down sewn into the life of the downtown most nights ain’t got a friend but you can count on him the familiar face to spill your life every town so familiar just like those hounds who’ll drag you down every town so familiar just look around your town

There is nothing worse than Stealing someone’s purse And finding out, without a doubt It’s not what you thought There is nothing worse than Being reimbursed And, like a bum, collecting from What you never bought And no one ever sees the silent breeze But it is there we all believe Should we agree to disagree? The is no tomorrow For a child of sorrow Just a hopeless ploy to rope This one to the rest And there is no tomorrow For every babe we borrow Single file, just for a while From its mother’s breast As long as it’s in faith we all relate But even Jesus wouldn’t take that bait We live in debt Forgive, forget There is no solution For a revolution Stemming from a single drum That chokes on its wealth And there is no solution When the institution Diagnoses while it boasts A clean bill of health And what is there to say that’s not been said? A lullaby will work instead We go to sleep We go to sleep

Even if I said so, and even though I don't know, here it's so familiar and I'd much prefer to stay at home Oh, this will drag us down Better to leave it behind Is there news I should know? I'll stick it to my window Did you say you'll miss me? Well then, shout it down my chimney Even if I said so (what a funny fellow) I think I'll have to cancel (look at what he's missing) when here, it's so familiar (the sun is bright and yellow) and I'd much prefer to stay at home And I know this day will wait for me because I'm happy

America, is that you down there? I see you on my TV and I smell you in my air. And sometimes I think you might be calling me. From across the river I hear those factories, going: Doo wha diddy, dum diddy do Doo wha diddy, dum diddy do, Yeah. America, is that you down there? Sometimes you make me so fucking scared. Will the levees break? Will the bankers drown? Can an old heavyweight go one more round? I've got a picture of the Ambassador Bridge I've got visa papers taped to my fridge. Doo wha diddy, dum diddy do Doo wha diddy, dum diddy do, Yeah. America, is that you down there? Do you sound the same as on my radio? Do you still look like old Hollywood? Would you play my record if it sounds any good? I've got a picture of the Ambassador Bridge I've got my tattoos hid. I've got my hair combed straight. Doo wha diddy, dum diddy do Doo wha diddy, dum diddy do, Yeah. America, is that you down there? I can feel you close to me, like my old guitar. So if I file those papers, will you let me in? So I can play a little club in Hoboken. I've got a picture of the Ambassador Bridge. Now the guy at the border says 'Where to kid?' Doo wha diddy, dum diddy do Doo wha diddy, dum diddy do, Yeah!

Used to be the fighting girl Always on the brink I fought all a I could find looking harder and harder Always holding down my bile Keeping it ready to release I knew when it was time Even thought the clues changed Never mattered when or where That all changed too Staying beautiful that's the difficult part I don't care about wrinkles or love poems Want to be strong because I am so weak I fight to batter myself away from decadence Lazy self-indulgent little girl Lazy self-indulgent little girl

about

MEGAPHONO is an Ottawa-based music organization focused on building opportunities for Ottawa-area artists and music entrepreneurs. Formerly, MEGAPHONO's main focus was acting as a synch license company, pitching music for film, television, new media and advertising (which we still continue to do).

VOLUME ONE is an introduction to the range of artists and genres that we are working with. MEGAPHONO offers quick, one-stop music licensing, and will launch a searchable web site later this fall.

If you are an artist/band interested in submitting music for consideration and control your own master and sync rights, please visit megaphono.tv and fill out our contact form.
